Late night television host Chelsea Handler has revealed more details to her past relationship with rap star 50 Cent and confirmed returning luxury gifts sent her way from the G-Unit leader.
During an appearance on journalist Piers Morgan’s show last night (May 10), Handler also confirmed her brief romance with Fif.
“We dated, very casually,” Chelsea told television host Piers Morgan. “He was, nothing happened, you know, he’s a very sweet, nice guy, but obviously, I was just sampling, kind of, the atmosphere and seeing what was out there. And I’m satiated. He’s fun. He’s a great guy. [He’s not what I expected], not at all. He’s the complete antithesis of what you would imagine. He’s a sweetheart, he’s sweet, funny, he’s got a great sense of humor. I don’t really like gifts from rappers in general since I’m not a hooker. I don’t like when men buy me ridiculous gifts especially when I don’t know them well. I can buy my own gifts.” (“Piers Morgan”)
Last March, 50 credited Chelsea’s down-to-earth personality as a strong driving factor.
“Chelsea is confident. I think confidence is the sexiest thing about a person. She’s the kind of person that if you’re blessed with the opportunity to hang out with her, you’ll enjoy it. I’m not sure you’ll look at her and actually want to jump over the table and f*ck her, but you might. You would leave after talking with her feeling that she is a cool person.” (VIBE)
In late January, rumors emerged claiming Handler ended her relationship with 50.
A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands now) that Chelsea Handler dumped 50 Cent just before the holidays, leaving the 35-year-old rapper “heartbroken.” Determined to win her back, 50 Cent — who was first spotted canoodling with the “Chelsea Lately” host in October — “spent Christmas sending her gifts, but she sent them back. She put a note on one that said, ‘I can buy my own gifts.'” (Us Weekly)
Earlier in the month, Chelsea admitted 50 was too much for her to handle.
“People still think we’re dating? No! Really?,” Handler said in an interview. “He’s sweet, though. I love him, but we’re not dating. I don’t know if I can handle him, to be honest. I like to have fun and I’m really trying to not get into anything too serious.” (Us Magazine)
