Admitting that it was hard to single out acts from today’s abundance of talent, Wilson mentioned Trey Songz and Jaheim captured his attention.

“For me, the record business and the record label is the same d*mn thing, ain’t a d*mn thing changed,” Wilson told SOHH. “As far as the artists that are coming that I see, it’s some really nice singers. I’ll tell you what, gospel singers really got a lot going on. There’s a lot of them. The R&B vibe, it’s coming back to where the singers are young and learning how to do their thing. I like Trey Songz, I like Jaheim, it’s a lot of them out there.” (SOHH)

Wilson also spoke about his favorite female singers as of late.

“I could start dropping names and others could say I left their name out because there’s certainly a lot of good ones out there from Chrisette Micele and of course Fantasia. There’s so many out there that can really sing. I’m not really worried about the future because it’s slowly going back to where it should be. Willow Smith, oh my God. That’s another one. People better watch out for her, she is incredible. Absolutely incredible.” (SOHH)

Trey Songz has kept a steady buzz with the release of his new album.

R&B singer Trey Songz’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure moved down two notches to No. 9 with 31,700. With a month under his belt, the singer’s latest album has sold 379,700 copies. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

Will Smith‘s nine year-old daughter, Willow, recently released a music video for her debut single, “Whip My Hair.”

In “Whip My Hair,” the pre-teen diva introduces a 21st century version of head banging as she whips her various hair styles — long braids, heart-shaped Mohawk, back-combed pouf — throughout the video. With two diamonds on her lips, Willow enters the scene with a juke box in a white-washed room that looks like a prison canteen but turns out to be a classroom. Switching on her jukebox with blinged up nails, she dips her tresses in some paint and proceeds to whip them around the room to turn it into a multi-colored confection. (New York Daily News)
