Chicago’s Chance the Rapper has stepped forward to shout-out the media for supporting his new Surf album and also used the opportunity to rally behind jailed Migos group member Offset.

Chance took to his Twitter page Friday (May 29) to dish out his remarks.

The seasoned rapper’s newest release is currently available on iTunes for free-99.

It’s been a full two years, a lot of touring, and one borderline life-changing Lollapalooza performance since Chance the Rapper’s Acid Rap, and finally we get the next project with his name on it: Surf. I won’t say “follow-up” to Acid Rap because it’s not truly Chance The Rapper’s album. This is Donnie Trumpet’s album, and the debut project for his Social Experiment band, for which Chance does the vocals and some of the arrangements. (USA Today)

Medical complications last month forced Chance to reschedule some performances.

Last month, Chance and the Social Experiment treated fans to their new “Planes” remix.

Earlier this year, Jeremih released his single “Planes”, which features a guest spot from J. Cole. Now, Chance the Rapper has teamed with his band the Social Experiment (Lido, Peter Cottontale, and Donnie Trumpet) to remix the song. It features a verse from Chance that invokes the Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory song “(I’ve Got a) Golden Ticket”. That’s it above. Chance the Rapper is headlining this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival on July 19 at Chicago’s Union Park. (Pitchfork)
