Chicago’s Chance The Rapper can breathe easy and so can his media critics. The hip-hop star has reportedly settled a publicized child support situation.

According to reports, Chance and his girlfriend have squared things away on their daughter.

Chance the Rapper and his ex-girlfriend reached an agreement in their child support case that was presented to a Cook County judge Monday. “This case ended quickly because of the unusually high level of cooperation between the parents putting their child’s best interest first,” said Enrico Mirabelli, attorney for Kirsten Corley. Earlier this month, Chance lashed out at the media’s interest in covering his child support case.

“Y’all better do y’all jobs and stop worrying about how good my family is. Just a friendly reminder. Don’t let anybody get between you and your family. Don’t be afraid of what other people are saying about you. Do your job and everything will be fine. Sun-Times, get the f*ck back.'”

According to reports, Chance’s issues stemmed from hometown paper Chicago Sun-Times claiming there was a severe child custody dispute with his girlfriend Kristen Corley.

The story claimed that Corley — who is currently unemployed — is seeking temporary child support, as well as money to purchase a home, furniture and a new car. According to the op-ed, Corley’s petition reads as following: “Kirsten is essentially being held hostage in Chancelor’s residence as, on one hand, he will not assist her with the support necessary to obtain her own residence unless this entire matter is resolved on his terms, yet on the other hand, Kirsten does not have knowledge of what specific objections Chancelor has to her counter proposal and therefore, it would be impossible to resolve.” (Billboard)

Back in February, Chance revealed the positive impact his daughter’s had on him.
