Rather than take the matter seriously, Cee-Lo simply said it is all entertainment and fun.

Cee Lo had just finished lunch in West Hollywood yesterday when we asked if he thought Nicki and Mariah’s “Idol” fight was legit — and he said, “This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything’s legit.” As for a possible “American Idol” ratings boost following the Nicki/Mariah fight — Cee Lo says he’s not worried, claiming, “I’m not intimidated. I think it’s entertainment for everybody.” (TMZ)

Yesterday (October 4), Nicki hopped on Twitter and unleashed a fury toward Carey.

“Hey yAll. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it,” she tweeted October 4th.

“Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.”

“Barbara walters didn’t reach out from our team barbz. I guess we’re too dangerous. Don’t shake if u don’t wannA get shook!!!!”

“I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave.” (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)

According to reports, Carey appeared on “The View” and accused Minaj of threatening her.

“American Idol” judge Mariah Carey says multiple people heard fellow judge Nicki Minaj say, “If I had a gun, I would shoot the b***h” after launching a curse-filled rant at Carey during an “Idol” audition, Barbara Walters said on “The View” today after interviewing Carey. Carey told Walters, who conducted the interview this morning before the show, that she “doesn’t feel comfortable emotionally” but will continue with the show and has hired extra security. Carey, 42, told Walters the altercation between the judges began when they disagreed on a contestant’s audition Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C. (ABC News)

The singer’s husband Nick Cannon has also blamed Nicki and Fox for fueling the situation.

The host of America’s Got Talent says he blames producers and FOX for allowing Nicki to lash out at his wife, “I’m kinda disappointed in FOX and everything, because they’re taking away from the quality of Idol.” Appearing on Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, Nick says, “This is about people accomplishing their dream — experts guiding these young people to do what they’ve done.” Mariah’s hubby points out, “If you watch the video, she [Mariah] maintains her composure.” He describes Mariah as “the strongest classiest woman I’ve ever met.” Taking the high road, Nick says of Mariah, “I don’t think she’s moved by the theatrics or pageantry of it all — she signed on to do a job to help young people realize their dreams.” (RumorFix)
