Philadelphia rapper Cassidy tries to put a nail in Maybach Music Group artist Meek Mill‘s coffin by dropping his new “Me, Myself & iPhone” diss.
Although Cass addresses popular topics like his relationship with producer Swizz Beatz and the new “Condom Style” record, he uses his third verse to attack Meek.
“He said he wanna battle n*ggas, but when I took him up on his offer he started to reconsider/That cat lame on every song he rap the same/That cat changed he got a deal and don’t act the same/That n*gga wilding cause he sold a couple hundred thousand/But I sold triple what that n*gga sold my first album/He not selling cause that n*gga can’t stop yelling/He know he can’t f*ck with you that n*gga look up to you” (“Me, Myself & iPhone”)
Cass also takes credit for inspiring Meek’s rap career and clowns his secondary status alongside MMG leader Rick Ross.
“That ain’t nothing new I raised son/I was around when that clown couldn’t even get his braids done/Why he dropped that I’m a boss sh*t?/Cause his boss say he a (Boss) and he just on his boss d*ck/I usually don’t get mad, but I had enough/When he dropped that song amen that was the last from us/He should praise his heavenly father the creator/But yo I gotta go I’mma holla at you later easy.” (“Me, Myself & iPhone”)
Last week, Meek taunted the fellow Philly rapper for dropping his PSY parody “Condom Style.”
Meek Mill talks that talk and today his Instagram did the communicating for him. Many questioned the decision of Philadelphia rapper Cassidy’s decision to lay verse to the instrumentals of Psy’s”Gangnam Style.” Earlier today Meek did more than question, he straight up slammed Cass’ latest drop. Below was what the MMG rapper posted on his Instagram, receiving over 15,700 likes. “Go 2 rapradar.com this is the worst song in the history of rapping….this gotta b a joke! Google #condomstyle” (Complex)
Prior to the new diss track, Cass publicly said his issues with Meek were over.
“That’s over with. I said I wanted to get it popping and battle, you know, he ain’t respond, he don’t want to do it. So I ain’t gonna keep dwelling over that. It’d be good for hip-hop. It’d be good for everything man. It’d bring some more excitement to the game. Not taking anything away from the dudes that’s rhyming right now, but it’d be beneficial. He don’t wanna do that, you know what I’m saying? You can’t force a man to do something he don’t wanna do so it is what it is. I want at least $100K, but I want to put most of it up for charity. I’ma put it in a lot of different areas.” (Sway’s Universe)
