With her new VH1 “Big Morning Buzz Live” daily talk show premiering this week, SOHH hit up host Carrie Keagan to find out which three rappers she could see as co-hosts.
Keeping with the show’s New York location, Keagan showed loved to Big Apple rap stars 50 Cent and Busta Rhymes.
“I would love to hang out with 50 Cent because he’s just so cool and I’ve interviewed him a few times,” Keagan told SOHH. “I just really dig his vibe. I love Busta Rhymes. I’m sorry. [laughs] I saw him in that new Chris Brown [‘Look At Me Now’] music video and I’m like, ‘Where the h*ll have you been!?’ I was so excited to see his face. And it would be cool to have him as that guy who just says things behind me all the time. And then there was a girl named Mystic a while back. I haven’t kept track of her but she was one of my favorite rappers. One of my favorite female rappers. I thought her voice was amazing and I would love to spend some time with her. She had great lyrics.” (SOHH)
She also revealed her impression of Young Money’s Nicki Minaj.
“Ah, I wanted to go more old school though,” Keagan told SOHH when asked if she contemplated switching out Mystic for Nicki Minaj. “I think Nicki Minaj is cool as sh*t. I would love to party with her too. [laughs] For sure.” (SOHH)
This week, Keagan also talked to SOHH about making the power move to VH1 from Los Angeles.
“I am living the dream right now. I never imagined in a million years, let alone what I am doing right now (interviewing the biggest celebrities in the world), that I would have my own morning show on VH1, it’s like a dream come true. I’m absolutely thrilled. It’s been a fantastic couple of weeks just preparing for the show. The weather has been gorgeous. I feel like I’ve been getting teased. The shock to the system coming from Los Angeles to New York was quite nice actually. It was a gradual little change and the only thing that’s been kind of knocking me for a loop is the [time change] but I’m getting used to it.” (SOHH Guest Star)
