Still in work mode, Smoove said the crew has already put together a large portion of their sophomore album.

“We don’t feel pressure, we’re just glad that the album is out,” C-Smoove told SOHH. “We’re just glad to be working again. We’ve already started working on our second album. To keep it all the way honest, we pretty much got our second album [nearly done] but we’re going to keep working and make it better. We’ve been recording non-stop since we started. We’re not feeling the pressure of living up to [our debut] because our second album is going to be even bigger. We’ve grown as men, we’ve gotten better and our rhymes have gotten better on the lyrical side. It’s going to show in the second album or maybe even the second mixtape. I just want everybody to be ready because we’re about to go in.” (SOHH)

Last week, C-Smoove talked about why fans should go out and support their new LP.

“The first reason why you should go out and cop the album is because we’re bringing the West back. The West is kind of hot right now. There’s a lot of us from the West Coast. We didn’t really want to make it a West Coast album but being from the West, it still has a West Coast sound. The way I spit, I get a lot of my style from West Coast rappers like DJ Quik. We didn’t go, “OK, let’s go and make a West Coast album where it sounds like something you could ride your Impalas with it.” We wanted to make a really good album.” (5 Reasons Why)

Cali Swag is most known for their smash hit, “Teach Me How To Dougie.”

Cali Swag District exploded onto the music scene last year with the platinum selling first single “Teach Me How To Dougie.” The Dougie dance sensation has swept the nation captivating American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest and Jennifer Lopez while the first lady Michelle Obama did her own version during her “Let’s Move!” initiative. Altogether the Dougie movement has taken over YouTube with over 100 million video streams. (Anti Music)

The group suffered a loss last May when one of its members was fatally shot.

M-Bone — one of the members of the rap group Cali Swag District — died last night … TMZ has confirmed. Cali Swag District shot to stardom with their hit, “Teach Me How to Dougie.” M-Bone — real name Montae Talbert– was 22. (TMZ)
