One of the suspects reportedly tweeted out Jay-Z‘s lyrics from his “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love)” Blueprint album following Monday’s bombings.

Boston bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev has tweeted since the Boston Marathon bombings on what friends of his tell CNN is his Twitter account. His tweets included one at 1:43 a.m. Wednesday that said, “I’m a stress free kind of guy.” On Monday at 8:04 p.m. — hours after the bombings — he tweeted a quote from rapper Jay-Z, “Ain’t no love in the heart of the city, stay safe people.” On Tuesday shortly after midnight he tweeted, “There are people that know the truth but stay silent & there are people that speak the truth but we don’t hear them cuz they’re the minority.” (WPTV)

The other suspect, brother to Dzhokar Tsarnaev, died in a police shoot-out Friday (April 19).

His brother, identified by a law enforcement source as Tamerlan Tsarnaev, died in a shootout with police on early Friday morning. Two federal sources told the Los Angeles Times that the brothers have been in the United States for 10 years. The boys’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, told WBZ-TV on Friday morning that they were born in Kyrgyzstan. “It’s crazy, it’s not possible, I can’t believe it,” Tsarni said. He said one of his nephews had called him Thursday in an apparent attempt to reconcile after an estrangement with Tsarni that had been going on for a couple of years. (Los Angeles Times)

One of the brother’s former classmates described his habits during their school days together.

I have two family friends–Sam and Nathan Greenberg–who went to high school at Cambridge Rindge and Latin with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old Boston Marathon bombing suspect who is at large. They both say they can’t square the terror he is accused of sowing this week with the boy they knew from sports and just around school. “He was really nice,” Sam Greenberg, now a junior at Harvard, told me over the phone. Sam played junior varsity soccer with Tsarnaev for a year and also hung out with him occasionally in the athletic area after school. “He was pretty quiet. Didn’t have a ton to say but was very normal, seemed like a nice kid.” (Slate)

According to reports, the brothers had lived in Massachussetts for roughly ten years.

The brothers had been living together on Norfolk Street in Cambridge. An uncle, Ruslan Tsarni of Montgomery Village, Md., told the Associated Press that the men lived together near Boston and have been in the United States for about a decade. They came from the Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars. (USA Today)
