After weeks of speculation, Grammy-winning singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter and husband/rapper Jay-Z are finally parents to a newborn baby daughter.
According to reports, Bey and Jay became official parents Saturday (January 7) night.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed a daughter Saturday night in New York, the little one’s arrival coming via scheduled C-section, mutliple sources confirm to E! News. And the pop ‘n’ hip-hop princess’ name? Drumroll, please… Blue Ivy Carter! (At least that’s what Jay-Z is telling pals at this point–the couple’s reps have not immediately responded to calls seeking comment.) (E! News)
Music mogul Russell Simmons congratulated the married couple’s newborn delivery just after midnight.

A few days ago, Bey was spotted showing off her pregnant body in New York City.
Beyonce definitely still has a bun in the oven! There was speculation over the holidays about whether the 30-year-old singer had given birth, but Jay-Z’s pregnant wife put the rumors to rest when she stepped out in NYC Thursday clutching her huge baby bump. Wearing skinny jeans, gold heels, an ornate scarf and black blazer, Beyonce was all smiles as a bodyguard accompanied her out of a New York office building. (Us Magazine)
