Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has more problems on his head than Young Thug these days after being spotted in a physical altercation this past weekend in Missouri.

According to reports, the incident went down at a St. Louis “Stop The Violence” charity basketball event last night (May 31).

The brawl went down in St. Louis on Sunday night. Wayne’s Young Money team was taking on a team coached by the event promoter, Loose Cannon Slim — and we’re told Coach Weezy thought the ref was blowing a bunch of calls. TMZ has learned someone called police to report an assault, and although cops responded … no one was arrested. (TMZ)

Earlier this year, Wayne admitted his issues with Cash Money boss Birdman had derailed his Tha Carter V release plans.

Wayne tells Rolling Stone that he and Birdman are no longer on speaking terms. “I have no words,” he says. “I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth.” After we talk some more, he admits that the legal wrangling has been weighing on his mind. “I’m human,” he says. “But it’s nothing that a good blunt can’t cure.” (Rolling Stone)

Wayne also confirmed the long-awaited album was ready to hit store shelves.

Wayne says that Tha Carter V, which he finished recording some time ago, is on ice for now. “It’s super-done,” he says. “Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it’s a dead subject right now. It’s a jewel in the safe. It’s that stash-house money.” (Rolling Stone)

Although he could not pencil in an exact date, Young Money president Mack Maine recently promised an early 2015 Carter V release.

“He’s touching up the album and about to start another special project for the people. I can’t give a definitive date. I can just say first quarter for sure. We’re still in talks right now, trying to get the plans together. The industry shuts down towards the end of the year anyway. It’s coming out. Don’t get it twisted like it’s not coming out. He wants it out, the fans want it out.” (99 Jamz)

  1. You can’t invite a studio gangster to a stop the violence event. His music invites gangsters to the event. you can’t invite negative energy and think nothing negative is going to come out of it. promote positive rappers in these events.

  2. Loose canon slim! Right there, with that moniker, red flags should be poppin up er’where! Smh….kinda reminds me of Fif’s line on Patiently Waiting “ni***s wear flags coz the color matches their clothes, get caught up in the wrong hood….” Dwayne needs to ease up
