Speaking with radio personality Jenny Boom Boom, Bow Wow discussed how he stood alongside Brown during his first public address of his alleged abuse.

“We were just having fun down in Orlando playing basketball at Shaq‘s hourse,” Bow Wow explained. “Chris is my best friend, that’s my little dude. I hold him down. I think the media, when they took hold of it being that was the first time they just seen him and made a whirl wind…The business is business, [his case] don’t faze me. Friendships and best friends means more to me. So if he want me to be there for him, I’ll be there. I don’t really know [Rihanna]. She’s a sweet heart and with the utmost respect, but like I said, if my man wants me there for him, I’ll be there for him.” (Jenny Boom Boom)

Brown is due back in court after a hearing was scheduled late last month.

The leak of a photo showing Rihanna’s bloodied face is not relevant to the assault arrest of her former boyfriend, Chris Brown, a judge said. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg described the leak of what appears to be a police evidence photo to the gossip site TMZ.com as “not a good thing” and possibly a crime, but she brushed aside suggestions by Brown’s attorney that it impacted evidence to be presented against the R&B singer at a June 22 preliminary hearing. Brown did not attend the hearing. The 19 year-old has pleaded not guilty to assault and criminal threats charges stemming from a Feb. 8 incident in which Rihanna, 21, claimed he beat, punched and bit her as she rode in his rented Lamborghini. Chris Breezy recently broke his silence on the dispute via a video to his fans last month.

“I don’t do all this talking on the thing, it’s just some new stuff I’m doing,” Brown said. “I just wanna say ‘What up’ ’cause I ain’t been out there in a minute, but new album gonna be coming soon, we working on it right now. It’s called Graffiti, it’s got everything on it. Y’all be ready for that. I’m about to drop a single this summer for y’all, so you know, we ain’t going no where. Everybody’s that’s haters, they just been hating. All my real fans, I love y’all. I ain’t a monster.” (Justin TV)

Aside from supporting Brown, Bow Wow is currently trying to part ways with Columbia Records.

“Number one, Columbia has been messin’ up since 2004-2005,” he explained in a video earlier this month. “I think Columbia’s problem is that they don’t know how to work with rappers…I’m really the only rapper on that label…My labelmates consist of John Legend who they work extremely well with, Beyonce who they work extremely well with, but when it comes to rappers they’re not really a rap label, they don’t get it…They’re not young, and I’m a young guy but they’re not young, so they don’t really understand what the young people want. They got Three 6 Mafia, but when is the last time that Three 6 Mafia have put out a successful album? You can’t really blame the artists because the label is the energy.” (Ace Showbiz)
