Veteran rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are taking a page out of the Wu-Tang Clan's playbook by announcing plans to reunite one more time and release a final album for at least $1 million. #followtheleader
Details of the group’s final reunion tour run surfaced online Tuesday (July 15).
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has huge plans for the next few years — TMZ has learned they plan to reunite, record new music, make a FAT stack of cash … and then ride off to the Crossroads never to be heard from again. The guys from Bone Thugs tell us all five original members will kick off a world tour, then get back in the studio to record final album. They plan to auction off ONE single copy of the album … asking price — at least $1 MILLION! (TMZ)
If things go accordingly, Bone Thugs will wait until late 2014 before heading on the road.
If this blueprint sounds familiar that’s because Wu-Tang Clan is doing the same thing — currently touring after laying down their album. RZA claims they got a $5 million bid in the auction for their record. BTNH say their 20-country world tour will start in December — so you’ve got some time to save up for the album auction sometime in 2015. (TMZ)
Back in 2011, group member Flesh-n-Bone hit the airwaves to dish out his personal feelings toward Krayzie Bone leaving the crew.
“What the f*ck do people mean it ain’t no Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, because Krayzie’s b*tch a** decided he wanted to quit? Man f*ck Krayzie homie. Put that in the paper. Check this out, check this out…Bone Thugs-N-Harmony gonna keep moving as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony man…Bone Thugs-N-Harmony don’t consist of no mother f*ckin Krayzie Bone man, it consists of Flesh,Bizzy, Wish — and Layzie. Just because one n*gga decided to quit don’t mean its over for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony…Listen to what I’m telling you, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is on a world wild motherf*cking tour.” (Z-107.9)
Prior to Flesh’s remarks, Bone Thugs issued a statement on their group member’s decision.
“Let’s be clear, Bone Thugs n Harmony the band/brand did not and does not break up. A single member has parted ways on another mission in life and we wish him love and success,” a spokes person told AllHipHop.com exclusively. “BTNH World Wide the brand continues to functions 307 days a year globally, and will continue to do so with respect to its business partners and the great Fan Family.” (All Hip Hop)
