Bellamy’s biggest advice was for the 31-year-old to clock in a handful of Zzz’s.

“My advice to Nick Cannon is to get as much sleep as he can because when you have two babies, you are so tired and your babies aren’t sleeping all night? Nobody tells you that but you will go crazy. The other thing is to make sure your wife [singer Mariah Carey] is comfortable. If she needs food and stuff like that, try to go above and beyond to make sure she feels comfortable because she’s going through a lot and she has a lot of new feelings, new emotions and concerns. So whatever you can do to make her feel comfortable, that’s the main thing whether it’s your time or spending time with the kids or being able to facilitate things to help her so she can get rest and enjoy the kids too.” (VIBE)

Over the summer, Cannon spoke to SOHH about embracing his role as a new dad.

“I’m loving fatherhood. It’s changed my life for the better in so many ways. I just can’t wait to do more. I think I’m at that stage where I’m anxious to be a father and obviously my children are still infants. So with Father’s Day and everything else going on, I just look forward to a new journey every day. Family is coming through. My mom and pops have definitely been around. I have a 91 year-old great grandmother that I have and need my children to meet. So it’s been stuff like that as of late and really trying to set things up to get the family thing going. For Father’s Day, I really don’t have nothing planned. I’m probably going to end up working and people who know me, they know I gotta do something that relates to business.” (SOHH Guest Star)

He also admitted his concern about throwing his kids into the media’s spotlight.

“I don’t know when I’m going to show off my kids. It’s one of those things where it’s been kind of an inner struggle we’ve been having to see when is the right time and how to go about it. We thought about sending out some TwitPics, the Ustream, there’s a lot of people that want to do an interview and have a little sit down. So we’re really just trying to figure it out. We’re really not focused on when do we show the babies to the world if at all. My wife and I kind of knew what we signed up for when we got into entertainment but our kids didn’t so you gotta really take that into consideration. You have to think if that’s even something they would want to be involved in looking back years from now. I don’t want to ever seem like we’re pimping our kids out.” (SOHH Guest Star)

Cannon and his wife, singer Mariah Carey welcomed twins last April.

It’s official — Mimi is now a mama! Mariah Carey gave birth to twins – a boy and a girl – on Saturday. The 41-year-old singing superstar gave birth at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, Mariah’s rep, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press. Nick and Mariah’s baby girl was reportedly born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; while her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches. The twins coincidentally arrived on the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary. (Access Hollywood)
