Based on one-day estimates, Boi’s album will fall behind Eminem‘s chart-topping Recovery.

The hip-hop star’s Recovery continues apace next week, with the platinum-plus Shady/ Aftermath/Interscope album still dominating the #1 slot. Through two weeks, Slim Shady’s sales total sits at 1.06m and rising after the biggest debut of 2010. Lady Antebellum‘s Capitol Nashville/EMI album Need You Now remains the year’s top seller at 2.4m. Among this week’s debuts, Def Jam/IDJ’s Big Boi will be the biggest, with the Outkast member’s solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, which went from Jive to L.A. Reid’s label, set to sell between 50-55k. (Hits Daily Double)

Following the album’s release yesterday, Boi hit up Twitter to share his reaction.

“@sleepybrownatl I feel like it’s my motherf*ckin birthday… I’m so crunk I can’t sleep.”

“#FACT- If you have ” Lookin For ya ” with stacks and sleepy. It came after “HustleBlood”, in the album sequence. Add it to your playlist” (Big Boi’s Twitter)

The release was initially scheduled for a 2008 and was later moved to last September.

“The status of the solo album is it’s coming,” Boi said in an interview. “September it’ll be here. Gotta new label situation that everybody gonna hear about real soon. I can’t give it to you right now, we gotta ink it. It’s going down, I think a lot of people are gonna see where we’re going with it. Complete that album, working on some other new stuff right now. [Andre 3000] is in Atlanta right now working on his solo record, he cut a couple of records. Then we’ll have a new Outkast album…I know y’all been waiting man, it took me like two years to finish it. I’m very satisfied. The label is ecstatic.” (DJ Booth)

This week’s top-selling album is Eminem’s Recovery.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s Recovery remained at No. 1 this week with 313,300 sold copies. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the rap star’s latest effort has sold 1,057,700 records in 14 days. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
