Despite rumors of break-up and beef existing between them, Big Boi said Andre is his family before business associate.

” You know, when we meet behind closed doors – and you get the articles and [it’s] “he said this” and “he said that;” motherf*ckers taking sh*t outta context; they don’t really know us. That’s my brother. He comes to my house; our kids play together. They play video games and we sit and listen to music and just catch up. But, that’s out of the public eye. But when you been with a guy since the tenth grade, we don’t have to see each other every day. And we don’t have to make records all of the time; we got a catalog that’s unprecedented. And, when he ready to do a full ‘Kast record together, then that’ll happen. But until then, ain’t no problems or nothing and the music [I make] is still gonna sound out of this world.” (HHDX)

A few weeks ago, Boi cleared up some confusion over playful jokes he made about Three Stacks.

“I was being sarcastic and they took it and ran with it,” Sir Lucious Left Foot told MTV News writer Rob Markman, who was filling in for “RapFix” host Sway Calloway. “It was a vicious misunderstanding, how my man ain’t gonna be on my album to do a shaving commercial? Get the f— outta here.” (MTV)

A day prior, Boi’s Gillette knack about their lack of joint efforts flooded the Internet.

“No, that’s all cleared up now. He could’ve been on any song he wanted to. I gave the motherf*cker about five songs, but I guess he was just too busy,” Big Boi said when asked about Laface Records not authorizing an Andre 3000 collaboration. “He said he had to do some Gillette sh*t [room erupts in laughter]. No for real. He said he had some contractual obligations.” (Village Voice)

In early 2012, Andre 3000 said he did not feel a need to rush out an OutKast LP.

“There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album. There’s a lot of music on the horizon. I’ve been living off the excitement of new artists. I’ve been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, “Hey, Andre, we want you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years, I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen.” (GQ)
