Music production duo Stargate are keeping it 100 on what it’s like to clock in work with the most iconic living R&B star in the game. The producers have dished out details on working alongside Beyoncé and revealed her studio grind.
According to Stargate’s Tor Erik Hermansen, Bey never leaves the lab without finishing her work.
“She’s also so beautiful that you can’t really look straight at her. You have to look to the left of her or something so you don’t get distracted. She’s just magnetic and, really, the most humble. There’s never any drama. She always finishes her stuff. A lot of people like to throw ideas down and finish it later. I think because she’s so busy, she always finishes stuff on the spot — singing the last chorus, doing the last ad-lib, throwing in the extra harmonies. She never leaves anything half-finished.” (Entertainment Weekly)
Stargate’s Mikkel Eriksen dug a little deeper and revealed just how relaxed Queen Bey is in the studio.
“We recorded with her and hung out with her in the studio a few times. She’s the best in the game, hands down. She takes her shoes off and lays on the couch and is very hands-on when it comes to her own vocals.” (Entertainment Weekly)
In early April, buzz developed about Beyoncé putting in a ton of work for her upcoming Coachella music festival performances.
Sources close to Queen B tell us … she started getting serious about practicing for her show Tuesday, scheduling 11-hour days in a high-profile L.A. studio that’s been booked solely for her and her dancers, choreographers, technicians and other members of her crew. We’re told there are 7 security guards patrolling the studio inside and out to keep the rehearsals top secret … no unwanted guests or recordings. (TMZ)
