While Beyonce’s camp claims the interview is fake, Star magazine has stood by its transcript.

Although the British publication was widely mentioned across the internet on Tuesday, in association with quotes about motherhood attributed to the new mom, her rep insists it’s not a real interview. “Completely made up,” the rep told Access. However, when reached by Access Hollywood on Tuesday, an editor for the magazine said the publication stands by their story. “It is not made up or fictitious at all. We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth. The reporter then obtained the ‘top-up’ info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM team,” the Star UK editor told Access Hollywood. (Access Hollywood)

Despite the publication’s claims, the story cites Beyonce giving her first post-baby birth interview.

Talking exclusively to Star in her first interview since giving birth, Beyonce Knowles told us she had an “instant connection” with her daughter Blue Ivy. She told us: “Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you, but when you hold it for the first time, the words can’t be found. It’s an old cliche that the thing expectant moms look forward to the most is holding their child in their arms for the first time, but it’s one of those clichés that is a real truth. I am so excited. From the time I knew I was pregnant we have been parents. A child is the greatest gift you can receive, and we are so excited and blessed to be in this situation. We are all great, we are just glad to be going home and starting this new stage of our life. The hospital staff have all been so great, but we were ready to go home and show our beautiful daughter where she will be living.” (Star Magazine)

On Monday (January 16), reports emerged online claiming Beyonce and husband/rapper Jay-Z donated a portion of their daughter’s gifts to charity.

“They’ve been sent literally hundreds of gifts in the past few days,” the source says. “Oprah Winfrey gave a huge trunk of children’s books and others like P. Diddy, Kanye West, Rihanna and Mariah Carey have all been sending luxurious baby treats. Jay-Z and Beyonce have decided to donate a massive selection of the presents to local charities for young mothers. They’ve already got the most precious gift – their new baby daughter – so they want to help out other parents who haven’t been as fortunate.” (Hollyscoop)

The couple welcomed their first child earlier this month.

They released an official statement on Monday, writing, “We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.” “Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven,” they add in the statement. “She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs. and it was the best experience of both of our lives.” (The Hollywood Reporter)
