With her upcoming album continuing to gather anticipation, Beyonce has issued a letter to fans promising the long-awaited disc will deliver.
As SOHH previously reported, the multi-platinum selling singer has kept details on her latest untitled effort to a minimum by allowing fans to know she has worked with Justin Timberlake and that her first singles “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies” will hit radio later this month.
The R&B star recently took the time to justify the album’s delay in a personal message via her website. “My music will explain it all. I have worked on this album for close to one year,” she wrote. “I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life [and] I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby.”
Claiming it’s the most time she’s spent on an album since her early days as a member of Destiny’s Child, she also revealed her decision to expose the various aspects of her life. “I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me,” she added. “I am in a different place right now, and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side, and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all.”
In related news, the Grammy winning singer has wasted no time preparing for the album’s release as she has currently began scheduling international performances. According to Billboard, Beyonce will be performing at the MTV European Music Awards in England this November along with beginning her overseas dates next spring. She is also expected to continue with an exclusive North American tour the following summer.
The new album is currently scheduled to hit retail stores Tuesday, November 18.
