Based on weekend estimates, Bey should easily dominate her competition with sales close to 300,000.

YOUR HOLIDAY TOP 15: Beyoncé will hold onto the #1 spot next week, powered by strong second-week sales at iTunes and physical product hitting the stores at presstime. Here’s how it looks headed into the weekend: Beyoncé (Columbia) 260-280k Garth Brooks (Pearl) 190-210k One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) 165-175k Kelly Clarkson (RCA) 130-140k The Robertsons (EMI Nashville) 125-135k Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 110-120k (HITS Daily Double)

This week, early estimates had the LP selling up to 275,000 copies.

YOUR NEW RELEASE: Yep, we’re in the singular mode, as B.o.B. is the only major new release this week. Based on one-day sales, he’s looking at a first week of 35-40k. Meanwhile, Beyoncé will enjoy another week atop the chart #1 with 250-275k, in which case she’ll be nearing the 900k mark RTD; with physical product not hitting stores until the end of this week, the Queen’s just getting started. Since dropping last week via iTunes, Queen B conquered previously uncharted territory with her latest number one debut on Wednesday (December 18).

Beyoncé has made history. The singer’s self-titled album officially debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making her the first woman to hit No. 1 with her first five studio albums. The visual LP, which features 14 songs and 17 videos, follows her five previous No. 1 albums including 2003’s Dangerously in Love, 2006’s B’Day, 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce, and 2011’s 4. She joins the company of DMX and folk group the Kingston Trio, whose first five albums also debuted at No. 1. (Rap-Up)

This all came in light of mega retailer Target announcing it would not sell the album in its stores.

While Beyonce’s new fast-selling self-titled album is sure to be on many Christmas wish lists, there’s at least one major retailer that’s opting not to sell the album: Target. “At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections,” Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski tells Billboard. She continues, “While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce’s new self-titled album ‘Beyonce.'” (Yahoo Music)
