Beyoncé Cuts Loose From Destiny’s Child Member W/ Aaliyah Pic

Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter may have crushed the hearts of Destiny's Child fans this week after appearing to crop out group member Kelly Rowland from a tribute photo.

According to reports, Bey brought the wrath on herself when she tried to remember late musician Aaliyah’s legacy.

On Thursday many R&B fans worldwide remembered the gorgeous and talented singer Aaliyah on what would have been her 35th birthday. That included two of her famous friends, Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland. Both ladies posted photo tributes to the singer – who was killed in a 2001 plane crash – on their Instagram accounts. It’s a photo taken over a decade ago when Kelly and Beyoncé were still members of Destiny’s Child. (RumorFix)

To make things interesting, Queen Bey posted a Kelly Rowland-less pic alongside the late singer.

But it turned they used the exact same photo. Only you’d never know it from looking at it on Beyoncé’s page. In Kelly’s tribute it’s a group photo of the three ladies. But on Beyoncé’s page she used the same photo but cropped it to cut Kelly out of the shot and shows Bey and Aaliyah in a more intimate close-up and changed it to a more dramatic black and white shot. Aside from the controversy, Bey is expected to be a surprise performer at next weekend’s Grammy Awards.

The pop superstars are expected to be among the big surprise moments during next week’s ceremony, according to two sources with knowledge of the plans. Late last year Beyonce pulled off one of the best-kept secrets in recent music history when she stealthily released her self-titled album without as much as a hint. The Grammys is where she will make her first televised performance in support of the project — which shattered iTunes records upon its release in December — according to a source with knowledge of the matter. Recently, music mogul Diddy said Beyoncé had created classic material with her recently released self-titled album.

“Create a body of work that stands for something and that you want to see stand for yourself 10 years from now. And I think that she didn’t go after making radio records. Like we got, I think, one of the best albums from Beyoncé. And also just from an innovation level she’s a different type of artist. She’s up there with the great ones.
