Benzino Recomposes Himself, Clears Up Amber Rose Beef: “It’s Not Ever Been About What You Wear” [Video]

Rap veteran Benzino has stepped forward to clear up his issues with Amber Rose‘s SlutWalk. This weekend, the hip-hop artist relied on social media to defend his stance.

In a new video clip, Zino explains where his SlutWalk problem stems from.

“This isn’t about somebody calling somebody names. People call people’s names. This ain’t about that. See this is about teaching our daughters that you don’t have to sleep around with men for money to get ahead in life or that you could be even better than a man if you studied and worked hard and you can accomplish anything in life without degrading yourself. It’s not ever been about what you wear. People wear all kinds of things. It’s about how you hold yourself as a woman.”

  1. The problem with Benzino’s opinion is two things. One: He is not in a place to define womanhood. We as men have to realize that this is no longer a world where only our opinion counts. They have a right to define themselves however they see fit. Worry about your own daughter if you insist on addressing the issue, but you don’t have the right to set whatever (double) standards you want with other women. Two: I think their issue is the double standard. Look, people sleep around. It’s no better or worse for one gender to do it than the other. It’s 2016. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If you still believe a woman is a slut, and a man is a “player”, you need to grow up.

    • If the fact that women carry DNA from every sexually partner isn’t proof enough I dont know what else is.

    • First, your comment is barely coherent. 2. The fact that I have 2 daughters, and 2 sons, is the reason my mentality is light years ahead of yours. What my daughters do when they become adults is on them. It is not my place or anyone else’s to dictate to grown women what they should do with their bodies. The only woman whom I need worry about is my wife. Grow up. What you teach your daughters about sexuality and their bodies as minors should be no different than what is taught to sons. If you are teaching your sons that it is ok to sleep around, you are the problem with society. Not only because you refuse to progress, but because it is your mentality that enables so many young black men to father children with multiple women. If it is wrong for a woman to sleep around, it is wrong for a man. If it is ok for a man to sleep around, it is ok for a woman. You can refuse to evolve and get left behind, or you can accept that there is no logic in your double standards.

    • Your line of thinking contributes to rape culture. The idea that a man gets to define a woman’s behavior & being is the same thinking that leads to a man thinking he can now take what he wants because he decides what woman is of value and what woman isn’t. Maybe you can grasp what I’m saying and maybe you can’t. But you are the type of man I will warn my daughters about before they go off to college. When you think you can decide another person’s value, you are a danger to that person.
