According to Cavie, he is clocking in studio time with T.I., Cee-Lo Green, Goodie Mob, DMX and more for their new albums.

“I’m in the midst of working on my album right now. There’s crazy features and eveything on it, but I’ve been taking my time to work on my album to make it a masterpiece and I’m taking a few songs and making mixtapes,” Cavie told SOHH. “As a producer, I’m in the lab right now working on Cee-Lo’s new album, Goodie Mob’s new album, DMX’s new album, T.I.’s new album and Macy Gray‘s new album. I’m in the lab cranking out some hits for people to jam to next year. … X and T.I. are two different artists. DMX is up there with Eminem. No one’s ever broke the records he’s broke. T.I.’s a great artist and I’m excited for his comeback too. But X’s new album is just gonna be a monster. We’re working on getting this Eminem and X record together because it’s going to be hip-hop history.” (SOHH)

While excited about Tip’s new LP, Cavie said he is most looking forward to putting out X’s upcoming solo effort.

“I’m very excited about the DMX record and then I would have to say I’m most excited about the Goodie Mob album too as far as the comebacks and who I would like to see get back to where they need to be,” Cavie added. “With the success of Cee-Lo now, Goodie Mob will be able to change the way Southern music is going on, all the snapping and popping. I think Goodie Mob is going to bring it back to where it all started at. I’m excited about Goodie and DMX’s album. Shout-out to my man X for making me the lead producer on the album. The music speaks for itself. Before going to jail, DMX told me I’m his favorite producer and if I’m not doing the track, he’s not even rocking. That made me [feel] honored because this guy is an incredible talent as well as being an incredible person. Very misunderstood but he’s a great guy.” (SOHH)

Earlier this week, Cavie gave SOHH the scoop on an upcoming Em/X collabo cut.

“That right there, I’m going to be honest with you, it was just an idea we were throwing around and it kind of just stuck — I probably should give all the credit to that to my man Ali and [Def Jam executive] Randy Acker,” Cavie told SOHH. “They got ties with Marshall [Eminem] and they were like, ‘We’re good with Marshall and we’re good with X. How can we make this record happen?’ To my knowledge, they’ve already had the phone conversation, they’ve already spoke, everything is good. They talked on a real level. I don’t want to get too deep into it but they’ve already spoken and the record is in the making. We’re just waiting for all of the particulars to come flying. We’re going to see hip-hop history.” (SOHH)

In August, X promised to make a strong return to the hip-hop scene.

“I kind of took it back to how I felt on my first album — the hunger, the energy, the hardness of it,” says the 40-year-old rapper (real name: Earl Simmons), who was released from prison on July 19. “I’ve had a lot of late nights in the studio, getting it in, getting it back to where it’s supposed to be,” says DMX, whose last album, 2006’s “Year of the Dog… Again,” has sold 344,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The rapper also notes that the lyrical focus of the album will be “bringing hip-hop back to where it’s supposed to be. It’s not at a good place right now… [There’s] a lot of whack rappers out there. It’s too corny.” (Billboard)
