Details of the sticky situation flooded the Internet this week.

Former Miami Hurricanes All-American Bryant McKinnie owes the father of rapping superstar Trick Daddy $375,000 for bills run up at South Florida strip clubs, a new lawsuit says. The rapper’s father, Charles “Pop” Young, filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court Monday afternoon. Young says that McKinnie, who is currently an offensive lineman for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, racked up big bills at the strip clubs between February 2009 and September 2010, borrowing the money from him. McKinnie frequented clubs at which he was present, said Young, who at the time was the general manager of the King of Diamonds club. He is now the vice president of the Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club and CEO of the Queen of Diamonds strip club, which is located off I-95 just north of Golden Glades. (NBC Miami)

The NFL player has reportedly offered Trick’s pops nothing but empty promises.

McKinnie agreed to repay the money but to date he has not repaid any of it, according to the lawsuit. Young is seeking to recover the money plus interest, as well as his costs, through his suit. McKinnie helped the Hurricanes win their last national championship in 2001 with his top-notch protection of Canes quarterbacks. He is in his second season with Baltimore. He was supposed to receive a $3.2 million base salary in 2012 but recently agreed to a $1 million pay cut to remain with the team. He could earn back the difference through incentives. (NBC Miami)

Strip clubs have become lucrative businesses in recent years, helping rapper Akinyele branch into opening his own spot in Las Vegas.

Since “Put It In Your Mouth,” Akinyele has released more sex-themed albums, but none compare to the success of his latest business venture. “We’ve been thrilled and amazed to see lines of both men and women still coming at 8 a.m. and this has been every single night, better yet morning I should say, over the past 10 days,” he said. To incorporate some hip-hop into adult entertainment, he has aligned himself with well-known DJs like Whoo Kid, Don Cannon, DJ RockStarr, Mark Da Spot, and others to play sets. (Complex)

Earlier this year, Atlanta’s Killer Mike dished out his appreciation for the local strip club scene.

“If I go all the way politicized, I become a zealot who’s not allowed to have fun with the people and the community that raised me. But if I go the other way, I become an ignoramus who isn’t properly qualified to speak on my community’s behalf. Me and my girl go to the kids’ school on Friday, then we go to the strip club Saturday night, and then we wake up and go to church Sunday morning, and we’re back to business on Monday. That’s my real life. At the end of the day, I’m a big black country motherfucker! All of that’s gonna come with me. [laughs] I can’t be all Public Enemy and not embrace my 2 Live Crew. You’ll always see me at a political rally and the black strip club; I’m gonna represent smoking weed and I’m gonna represent supporting Trayvon Martin on my record, because I’m a whole man.” (Pitchfork)
