Although Baby expressed excitement over Grammy nods for his artists Drake and Tyga, he hopes his team will gain more recognition from the selection committee next year.

“Aww man, this is what we worked hard and put all of these years in for. It feels good; it’s beyond words. We look at it like this, next year we have to have more, so we have to work harder. This is just giving us different ways to motivate ourselves…We take it as we have to go harder. It ain’t no feelings caught up in this shit, our feelings are in our music. So we just take it as we gotta go harder. We gotta prove, we gotta do more. It’s a win-win across the board. It’s a win that we are nominees and it’s a win that if we don’t get it, we’ll keep goin’ ’til we go get it…With these type of events, we never put no feelings in ’em. We hope to win, but we’ve been coming to ’em for a minute, so if it don’t happen we know how to keep it movin’. It ain’t no big thing.” (XXL Mag)

A few days ago, Drake said he has envisioned winning a Grammy since his teenage years.

“To get any type of Grammy accolade or anything, it’s cliche but it’s a dream come true in the literal sense, that thing you have between sleeping and waking up. That time spent I used to think about being on the stage and being able to thank the people that have done so much for me in my life. And I remember the first time I went to the Grammy Awards and I looked at the set up of it at The Kodak Theater and it was like man, this is very similar to the dream I’ve been having since the ‘Degrassi’ days. I’ve been having this dream, I never knew where it was and it never really specified what the award was, but I knew it was a night I could let the people know–the people in my life know–how much they have done with me. To have four opportunities to have that chance is incredible.” (Global Grind)

The rapper/singer’s Grammy nominations were announced earlier this week.

Drake earned four nods as nominations were announced Wednesday night in a prime-time special from Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Drake scored two Grammy nominations last year, prior to the release of his platinum-selling debut, Thank Me Later(which earned a nomination for best rap album on Wednesday). But the 24-year-old was still eligible for best new artist thanks to a change in requirements that allowed previous nominees to be nominated for the award as long as they didn’t win. Rapper Eminem leads this year’s 53rd Annual awards ceremony.

The rapper also known as Marshall Mathers received 10 total nominations including categories like Album of the Year for his CD Recovery, and Record and Song of the Year for “Love the Way You Lie,” his number one hit with Rihanna. Eminem was also well-represented in the rap categories, receiving additional nominations for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and more. (WTMA News)

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 and will broadcast live on CBS at 8PM ET/PT.
