Cash Money Records boss Birdman has come to the rescue. The music executive helped clear a record for NBA star Damian Lillard and estranged protégé Lil Wayne.
Lillard hopped on Instagram Thursday (October 27) and credited Baby for clearing his “Loyal to the Soil” collaboration.
A few days ago, Damian announced his Wayne collabo would not arrive on his The Letter O album due to a label issue.
Recently, Lil Wayne shut down the idea of having a family-like bond with Baby.
“I’m 34 baby, I’m too old for friends. [We’re more life family?] No, his last name isn’t Carter, baby. He’s not family.” (Hip Hollywood)
A few days prior, Wayne likened his YMCMB woes to the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh.
“It’s interesting. It’s interesting. It’s a perfect example of, that you aren’t bigger than the game. It’s a perfect example of that. You’re not bigger than the team and once you’re off the team, it’s not, we don’t care. Once you’re off the team, we don’t care. We’re still a team and we have to conduct ourselves as such, and we have to make the most for us. Reason being, I’m going through the same situation myself. So I know how it is. Everything I’ve done for them, they wouldn’t be them without me and, but I’m off the team so it’s, ‘screw him as long as we can, make sure we gonna screw him as much as we can, and when we can’t no more we’ll see what happens. That’s what it looks like they’re doing to Bosh” (“His & Hers”)
