Cash Money boss Baby has come clean on whether or not the world will hear estranged protégé Lil Wayne‘s delayed Tha Carter V album.
In a new interview, Birdman gives hope for fans dying to finally hear the long-awaited solo effort.
“Tha Carter V’s coming out. It’s definitely coming out. The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all that behind us and just let it move forward. Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him finish [and] continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing, but you definitely going to get that C5.” (Beats 1)
Earlier this week, Wayne hinted at multiple albums including Tha Carter V likely coming out in 2017.
Back in November, Wayne hinted at a new project called Funeral.
“Just make sure they know that Funeral is coming soon. [What is it?] That’s my music. I don’t have a release date but I have a whole bunch of good news coming soon. If you are a Wayne fan, I know we been going through a lot of tough times right now, but if you’re a Wayne fan, we about to hold our heads high.” (“The Nine Club”)
A few months ago, rap star Drake revealed his interest in hearing Wayne’s delayed Tha Carter V album amid his Cash Money feud.
