B.O.B. feels fans will eventually be able to tell them apart.

“I guess not,” he said when asked if he could shake off the comparisons. “You know what though – when people ask me that, they just ask me if I still get the attention. Because I get asked that question, I feel like I do because I get the attention. It’s kinda like I feel as the music is growing and develops, people are starting to be able to tell the difference themselves in the style and the sound.” (All Hip Hop)

Various music sites and blogs have also pointed out the similarities between the two artists.

I’m happy to say that he went against his own thoughts of stopping the music and let his natural talent takeover the game with his own southern swang. A dash of Andre 3000 doesn’t hurt though. He may hate to hear the comparison, but B.o.B does hit certain notes that are A. Benjamin like. All good, that half of the Outkast duo seems to be on a forever-evercation, so B.o.B’s vocals will fill that void. (Global Grind)

Earlier this week, B.o.B. released his “Airplanes (Part II)” Eminem collaboration.

“Since the album is leaking…I want this one to come from ME. Hear “Airplanes Pt.2” ft. EMINEM & Hayley Williams of Paramore www.bobatl.com,” he wrote Monday (April 19). “Much Love to the people who are still going out to support the album April 27th…like in the old days!” (B.o.B.’s Twitter)

According to B.o.B., Em was impressed by his underground material and wanted to become involved in the project.

“[His manager] Paul Rosenberg played him the Cloud 9 mixtape and it kind of gave him an idea of what my music,” B.o.B revealed in an interview. “Eventually he started playing Em more of my stuff and was keeping him updated on my progress and eventually he wanted to get in the studio with me, so that was a gift. It’s really reassuring to know that every artist has a way of working but it’s all … the essence of it all to get in that vibe and to get in that zone, and everybody has a different way to get in that zone…It’s good to see a different way, because you know, ‘OK, I can do this or I can do that.’ It kind of showed me where I was thinking inside of a box and where I can open up even more.” (MTV)
