B.o.B. also discussed being an alternative rapper on a label known for its street emcees like Young Dro and 8Ball & MJG.

“He told me, ‘Alright B.o.B, you are on roller coaster now. From this point on everything is going to speed up and you will never know how you got here,'” B.o.B. said in an interview. “He told me about finding my pace because I’m just getting my feet wet. It’s crazy. Me being on Grand Hustle, being affiliated with T.I., being an underground alternative artist with a pop hit the next day. It’s f*cking crazy. The Adventures of Bobby Ray is just a soundtrack to what I’m doing. I’m just enjoying the ride… The ups and downs is what make the rollercoaster ride fun. But everything is weird [Laughs].” (VIBE)

The rapper recently opened up about his collaboration with Tip, “Dream Me Up.”

T.I. announced his return to music this week with the street single “I’m Back. “Now his Grand Hustle affiliate B.o.B reveals another new track that may appear on the King of the South’s first album since serving time behind bars. B.o.B aka Bobby Ray has heard material from his label chief’s new project and is actually featured on one record titled “Dream Me Up” produced by Cut the Check. “Me and T.I. have a song that can potentially go on his album,” he tells Rap-Up.com. “I think it’ll definitely be a smash.” (Rap-Up)

In addition to working with Tip, B.o.B. also got an opportunity to collaborate with Eminem.

“[His manager] Paul Rosenberg played him the Cloud 9 mixtape and it kind of gave him an idea of what my music,” B.o.B revealed in an interview. “Eventually he started playing Em more of my stuff and was keeping him updated on my progress and eventually he wanted to get in the studio with me, so that was a gift. It’s really reassuring to know that every artist has a way of working but it’s all … the essence of it all to get in that vibe and to get in that zone, and everybody has a different way to get in that zone…It’s good to see a different way, because you know, ‘OK, I can do this or I can do that.’ It kind of showed me where I was thinking inside of a box and where I can open up even more.” (MTV)

Earlier this year, the rapper talked about moving his Adventures of Bobby Ray solo album’s release date from May to April.

“‘Fifth Dimension,’ T.I. actually produced it, him and Lil C produced it from Grand Hustle so we got in the studio just playing around with some drums, loops and guitars and some asteroids and we made up ‘Fifth Dimension,’ and it’s gonna, it’s a banger,” B.o.B. promised in an interview. “[My album,] it’s definitely scheduled to come out April 27th, it was May 25th but [The Adventures of Bobby Ray] got pushed forward, which never happens, ever, I don’t even recall that happening and if it does change, it’ll only move forward again.” (XXL Magazine)
