While B.G. didn’t give an exact date for when the team will officially reunite, he said fans should be ready.

“You can look forward to that [reunion] coming real soon,” he said in an interview. “Real, real, real soon. We tying up the loose ends of the paperwork right now, and hopefully we’ll have that out this year…It’s going to be bigger than The Beatles…You know, at one point in time, you couldn’t get me to talk about it… You know, people go through things, family go through things, but they sit down, talk it over, be real about it, acknowledge their mistakes and move on.” (Vibe)

The rapper also spoke on the reunion earlier this year.

“It’s gonna be all the original members, it’s gonna be me, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Turk is supposed to be coming home March 16th,” B.G. said in an interview. “We’re gonna do it regardless because the streets keep asking for it…Mannie Fresh created the Hot Boys sound; it’s only right that Mannie Fresh gives us that heat…Wayne made the deal; he came to us. He had a deal for a soundtrack, and he wanted to make it a Hot Boys soundtrack. He reached out to me and Juvenile…Before the reunion album, we’re gonna’ do an album which is inspired by a motion picture.” (Word of South)

Turk previously talked with SOHH about the group getting back together.

“As far as the Hot Boys being broken up for a minute, it was nothing more than a family fallout,” Turk wrote in a 2007 statement. “Lil’ Wayne, B.G. and Juvie are my brothers for real. Everything is back to the way things should be right now and that I look forward to joining the group and being heavily involved in the forthcoming Hot Boys reunion project. Expect this album to go down as a classic in hip-hop history.” (SOHH)

Hot Boys have over a decade of music under their belts.

Formed in 1997, the Hot Boys consisted of four youthful rappers from the same neighborhood of New Orleans, LA. Two of the four, B.G.and Juvenile, were already regionally successful, each having spent several years making a name for themselves in the local rap scene. The two newcomers, Lil Wayne and Young Turk, rapped with a polished style that belied their age and inexperience. (All Music)

No further information has been released on the upcoming Hot Boys reunion.
