Roc Nation’s J. Cole talked about avoiding the pressure to constantly be on social outlets last week.

“It’s a mixture of, A, I wouldn’t know what to say. With so many people listening, I don’t know what I would say to five, six million people. I don’t even know what I want to talk about to them, to those people. The other thing, I believe in staying away until you got something to say. I don’t believe in the art of talking to be talking or talking to be heard. I’m not into that. I’m not into thinking they’ll forget about me if I don’t tweet or they’ll forget about me if I don’t put up no pictures. I don’t believe that.” (Hot 97)

Rapper Childish Gambino recently explained his lack of presence on social media.

“Nah, I just uh, I don’t know,” Gambino said when asked about his lack of Twitter posts despite having over a million followers. “Everything you put on social media kind of lasts forever, even if I post it for a second it’s going to still be there. My fans will find it again. I kind of want to be respectful to the audience. I want to make sure when I put stuff up, it’s for a good reason, [to make] it counts. I don’t want to just be posting stuff up about my dog all the time. I don’t have a dog but if I did, I would want to make sure [not to].” (“Today”)

Hustle Gang affiliate Iggy Azalea explained her decision to ditch Twitter last week.

“Of course I am, anybody’s happy when they’re not being verbally abused,” Iggy said when asked if she’s happy to no longer be running her Twitter account. “I think it’s pretty safe to say, it’s way better. … I think it’s dangerous to have that negative Internet culture and it isn’t all [dangerous] but I think it is dangerous especially when you’re someone who has to create things – I’m in the middle of recording a second album and I really don’t want to have like some angry, aggressive album. Every time I’m in the studio I just feel like I want to punch everybody in the face – I really [needed] to get off the Internet. … It makes me hate people – I love people.” (“The Cruz Show”)

    • After resigning my job twelve months ago, i’ve been fortunate to find this great website that literally saved me… They offer jobs for which people can do their work online from their home. My last paycheck after working for them for 4 months was $10k… Best thing about it was that the only thing required is basic typing skills and internet connection…
