Nearly 24 hours after former best-friends-forever Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame went after one another’s necks, a new twist to the unexpected beef has surfaced.
According to the latest reports, Gucci’s camp claims his Twitter page was hacked into.
Hmm…Rahim from Warner/Atlantic says Gucci’s manager claims Gucci’s twitter account was hacked into. But then why is it that more than 12 hours later, 1) there is no “explanation” or retraction tweet. And 2) The diss tweet is still up. Look, hacking happens, so it’s possibility. But it doesn’t seem to add up in this situation. Also, usually you don’t see just one hacked tweet. Also…Gucci can be volatile. So, I’ll just say instead, I hope this incident of bad blood between one of my favorite buddy teams in trap rap isn’t irreversible. (Miss Info TV)
Despite the update, Waka Flocka does not appear to have fallen back on his stance against Gucci.
After Gucci’s tweets last night Waka responded, “Somebody tell Gucci Mane 2 SUCK A D*CK.” That tweet has since been deleted. But strangely, as of today, Waka Flocka is still retweeting disparaging comments from his followers about Brick Squad 1017 an telling them to support his label, Brick Squad Monopoly. (XXL Mag)
Initial rumors and speculation suggest the feud may have something to do with Hollywood actress Selena Gomez.
Not necessarily best known for staunch commitment to his declarations, Gucci Mane has made the executive decision to relieve Waka Flocka Flame of his Brick Squad 1017 post. The reasons for this are still vague, but we have heard that Waka too had a thing for Spring Breakers actress Selena Gomez, whose intimacy with Wop on set had been rumored. (Complex)
Back in 2010, Flocka came forward to silence feud and beef rumors involving his rap mentor.
“I don’t think it’s no split. We couldn’t meet each other on a business level — or a personal level,” Flocka told radio host DJ Drama. “Whatever the level is, I don’t know. I’m going this way and [he’s] going that way and we both killin’ these folk. That’s just what it is…Ain’t no drama. Don’t ever think it’s just like, ‘Ey, let’s get [him]’ … Don’t ever think I’m [going] to ride on him with another person. Let’s make that super clear.” (Hot 107.9)
