Weeks after New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith joined Roc Nation, new reports claim Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson now wants in on the opportunity.

Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson has fired agent Drew Rosenhaus and is considering hiring Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, according to multiple reports. In March 2012, Jackson, after his fourth season with the Eagles, re-signed for $51 million over five years, $15 million of which was guaranteed through mostly the first two years of the contract. But Jackson has told teammates he is now hoping to strike a deal with Roc Nation Sports, according to USA Today Sports, which cited a source with knowledge of the situation. However, a source told ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell that while it’s possible that Jackson desires to be with Roc Nation Sports, to date there have not been any discussions between the two sides. Per NFL Players Association rules, Jackson must wait five days after filing agent-termination paperwork with the union before he begins talking to other agents about representation. (ESPN)

Buzz behind Geno Smith’s addition to Roc Nation heated up the Internet last month.

After weeks of speculation, rookie quarterback Geno Smith announced Wednesday that he has hired Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports to represent him. Smith, who created national headlines when he fired his original agents after falling out of the first round in last month’s draft, hinted that the marketing appeal of Roc Nation Sports was a factor in his decision. Four decades removed from Broadway Joe, the New York Jets have Madison Avenue Geno. “When you talk about being in New York from a standpoint of what they can do in the city, the connections that they have, I think it’s a good move,” said Smith, claiming Jay-Z’s presence wasn’t the overriding reason for his selection. A few weeks ago, Young Hov made headlines after treating newly signed Roc Nation Sports basketball star Skylar Diggs to a Mercedes Benz.

College graduation is a day to celebrate accomplishments and toast to the future. Some people may even get thoughtful gifts from friends and family. For former Notre Dame basketball player Skylar Diggins, graduation day will certainly be unforgettable. Diggins currently plays guard for the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock and graduated Sunday from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. Her agency, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, surprised her with quite the gift. Diggins left her graduation ceremonies and was surprised in the parking lot with a brand new white Mercedes, complete with a red bow and a handwritten note from Jay himself. Diggins posted a collage of photos of the car on her Instagram account with the caption, “Got surprised with a new Mercedes! Thanks so much to Jay and @rocnation, and @dancyautogroup!” (NESN)

Not stopping there, Jigga is reportedly looking to dip his hands into the NHL market by going after top prospect Seth Jones.

Sources said Jay-Z’s organization wants to strike a deal to be involved in the star’s marketing and branding, reports The Post’s Kirsten Fleming. Jones would then benefit from both sides of the CAA and Roc Nation partnership. “When Seth comes to the NHL draft [in Newark, NJ] in June, his family, agents at CAA and Roc Nation are going to have a powwow to see if he’ll sign with them,” a source said.
