DMX Caught Speeding, Arrested For Driving Over 100 MPH

DMX added another infraction to his already long driving record last week when he was arrested after cameras caught him racing his bright yellow '96 Chevy at 114 mph down a strip of highway in Arizona.

The rapper (born Earl Simmons) was taken into custody at his home in Phoenix and booked on charges of criminal speeding, public endangerment, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license, according to New York's The Daily News. He posted bond and was released.

Cameras along the Loop 101 freeway captured the rapper three different times speeding down the street in his Nova II with a large decal broadcasting "DMX" on the windshield. He was driving at 100, 101 and 114 mph on the 65 mph highway.

X has a long history of being a speed demon.

He was cited at least three times in '06 for various driving infractions. In June, he was ticketed for two different violations including driving unsafely without a license and causing an accident by driving on the shoulder of a road. In October, X was pulled over in Yonkers and his Chevy Suburban was found to be uninspected, his registration was suspended because of parking violations and he was unlicensed.
