After being arrested at the beginning of the year, Lil' Wayne appeared in court yesterday (May 6) to face several drug and weapons charges stemming from the earlier arrest in Arizona.
SOHH has confirmed that the New Orleans-bred MC entered a not guilty plea to all charges, which included possession of dangerous drugs, possession of a narcotic drug for sale, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents. Three of the charges the rapper is facing are felonies.
As previously reported by SOHH, Wayne was arrested following a vehicle search by the Border Patrol on Interstate 8 near Dateland, which uncovered illegal drugs belonging to the rapper, including 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy and a .40 caliber pistol, which was registered to Wayne in the state of Florida.
Police also confiscated $22,000 dollars in cash and two other firearms and the rapper would later be released on $10,000 bond.
The rapper's legal team filed a motion earlier this year asking for a lesser drug charge, claiming the amount of cocaine was incorrect and that Weezy had fewer then 8 grams.
Wayne is scheduled to return to court on May 19.
