Snoop Dogg Banned From UK...Again?

The British government has filed a second appeal to stop the international superstar rapper Snoop Dogg from entering the country.

According to BBC News, the UK Border Agency plans to overturn the decision made during a January immigration hearing which gave Snoop Dogg (born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr.) clearance to enter the country. The trial stems from an April 2006 altercation at Heathrow Airport, that allegedly involved the rapper.

Snoop was initially denied a visa in March 2006 while on tour. In January, an immigration judge said he found no evidence that the Long Beach rapper was responsible for any public disorder and the Doggfather was given clearance to enter the UK.

The UK Border Agency says the immigration judge made a "material error in law" during the first hearing.

"We maintain that the immigration judge in the initial hearing made a material error in law," a UK Border Agency spokesperson said. "There has been no change in the facts that led to Mr. Broadus being denied a visa. We stand by that initial decision."

"We will continue to oppose the entry to the UK of individuals where we believe there may be a risk to the public."

In related news, Snoop was refused entry into Australia last September for failing a character test. He was unable to co-host the MTV Australian Video Music Awards.
