Ludacris is upping his acting game with a new flick and a new album he says is fit for the big screen.
The busy actor/rapper is set to drop his sixth disc Theater of the Mind in September and he's currently shooting Max Payne, the movie adaptation of the Rockstar video game.
Luda promised Billboard the album he calls "theatrical" will be worthy of being flipped into a film, as it musically captures his journey up to this point.
There's no announced first single yet, but one of the tracks on the disc, "Let's Stay Together," is produced by Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul.
Luda is working on the album in between takes on the Max Payne set in Toronto. In the flick, he plays opposite Mark Wahlberg as NYPD Deputy Police Chief Jim Bravura.
The rapper has already wrapped filming for his role in Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla, which stars Thandie Newton and Jeremy Piven and will be hitting screens October 31.
"It's about how the Russian mob came to Europe and took over," said Ludacris.
Luda's last disc, 2006's Release Therapy, won a Grammy for best rap album and sold 1.2 million copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan.
