In this week's Hip-Hop and R&B charts, Mariah Carey has the right formula to top the charts again, Prodigy's not quite the head n*gga in charge and Flo Rida elevates into the Top 30.

R&B icon Mariah Carey must have the right formula as her sixth studio album, E=MC2 remains on top of the charts this week with 181,900 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Despite a 61% decline in sales, Mimiis still standing strong, selling an outstanding 646,100 copies. The follow up t 2006's The Emancipation of Mimi this marks the sixth No. 1 ranking on Billboard 200 for Carey. The R&B diva is now tied with Madonna and Janet Jackson for the second most No. 1 albums among female artist.

After becoming the first British female solo artist to debut on top of Billboard 200 with her album Spirit, UK import Leona Lewis refuses to relinquishe her position as well, still standing at No. 2 this week. The sultry songstress has experienced a nice lil' increase in sales, as her debut is approaching Gold status. Lewis' debut has scanning an impressive 395,900 copies after only three weeks.

One of the most commercially successful and long-lived independent hip-hop act, Atmosphere enters the charts the week as his fifth studio album When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That sh*t Gold, debuts at No. 5 with 36,500 copies sold. The Rhymesayers rapper scores his best sales and chart position ever, as his previous chart ranking peaked at No. 66 for '05's You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having. This also marks the indie label, Rhymesayers, highest-charting album of all time.

Mr. M.I.YA-YO, Rick Ross slips four spots to No. 15. Pushing 22,600 copies of Trilla this week, the "Boss" was hit with a 15% decline in sales. His sophomore set continues to move towards gold status at 465,700.

"American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks slides four spots to No. 20 this week. Her self-titled gold debut scanned 19,300 copies this go around and after 23 weeks, the songbird has amassed 697,000 albums sold overall.

Despite her latest controversy Grammy Award winning singer Alicia Keys has climbed six spots to No. 24. The piano woman moved 16,400 copies of As I Am this week for a total of 3,415,800 copies in 24 weeks.

"Making the Band" starlets Danity Kane continue to fall in standing as their sophomore set Welcome to the Dollhouse dives nine spots to No. 25. Diddy's girls only sold 16,100 copies this week boosting their overall sales slightly to 438,400.

Flo Rida elevates this week, as his debut Mail on Sunday climbs four spots to No. 27. After making history with selling over 3 million digital downloads of his infectious single "Low," the download king hasn't seen the same success with his album. Moving only 15,600 copies this sales period the set has scanned a grand total of 201,200 copies after six weeks.

After being detained last week for allegedly head butting a guy in London, British songstress, Amy Winehouse raises nine spots from No. 39 to No. 30 this week. Pushing 14,200 copies of her Grammy award winning album, Back to Black, the embattled star is a few copies shy of earning a double-platinum plaque, with 1,900,600 copies scanned.

Snoop Dogg's Ego Trippin, moves up two spots from No. 37 to No. 35 this week with 13,200 copies sold. After seven weeks, The Doggfather's ninth studio album has amassed 291,300.

Mobb Deep's Prodigy, saw his second official solo album H.N.I.C. Part II enter the charts this week at No. 36. The highly anticipated follow up to P's debut H.N.I.C., was rather disappointing as the incarcerated rapper sold a below par 13,300 copies.

The "Queen of Hip-Hop Soul," Mary J. Blige slips one spot to No. 37, selling 12,600 copies of Growing Pains. After 19 weeks, Blige's eighth disc sales are down by 13% for a total of 1,434,500 albums sold.

Teen heartthrob, Chris Brown slips one spot to No. 39 with 12,000 copies of his sophomore set, Exclusive sold this week. After 24 weeks, Rihanna's beau has, rounded out overall albums sales to 1,488,400.

Keyshia Cole remains a constant at the No. 40 spot this week, with 11,400 copies of her sophomore album Just Like You scanned. After 31 weeks, the set has sold a total of 1,356,500 copies.

Gnarls Barkley plummets this week dropping twenty-seven spots from No. 20 to No. 47. The dynamic duo's was hit with a 46% decrease in sales as their sophomore set The Odd Couple only pushed 10,600 copies. After six weeks, it's very apparent that the early leak of their album online still plagues the pair as the album has scanned a significantly low 131,800 copies.

Next week look for Philly veterans The Roots, rugged soulster Lyfe Jennings, hip-pop princess Lil' Mama and British import Estelle to make an appearance on the charts.
