In this week's Pulse Report the streets are buzzing about 50 Cent kicking Young Buck out of G-Unit, The Game firing shots at 50 while offering to take Buck in, Prodigy blogging from prison, Lil' Wayne unveiling the Carter III album cover and Bill O'Reilly clowning Snoop Dogg on behalf of Barack Obama.

1. Get The Buck Outta Here. The tumultuous on again-off again relationship between 50 Cent and his once loyal cohort Young Buck has officially been terminated-for good. That's right, the Unit's down to three. Fed up with Buck's disgruntled attitude, Curtis called into Hot 97's "Miss Jones Morning Show" to publicly sever ties with the Cashville rapper.
"You can take this as official notice right here," 50 Cent told Miss Jones. "Pretty much you can say Young Buck is no longer in the group G-unit but signed to G-unit as a solo artist."
Digging deeper into this muddled situation, radio personality Miss Info reported that there doesn't seem to be any chance of reconciliation between the two parties. She also offered some clarity to the financial dispute over Buck's alleged unpaid royalties. Apparently 50 bailed Buck out of severe tax problems with Uncle Sam and under the terms of their agreement, he was recouping his loan through Buck's royalty checks.
Seemingly unfazed by his dishonorable discharge from the squad, Young Buck was quick to respond via the subtle diss record "I'm Not Ok". [Listen here] Though it's not clear if he's talking to Fif, the timing and message are rather appropriate for the moment.
Cue the D.R.S.! This one is dedicated to the memory of G-Unit. [Listen here] The once formidable hip-hop super power is currently a shell of its former self. Like Ice Cube leaving N.W.A, the lost of Buck will be felt severely. Now the pressure to succeed falls on Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. I worry about Yayo, this type of pressure to perform might take its toll on the 52 year-old rapper.
Wait, this just in...Young Buck is auctioning off all his G-Unit memorabilia on ebay. Items to be auctioned off include:
A G-Unit chain.
An official book of diss rhymes he had written out for all 50's enemies.
The knife he used at the Vibe Awards stabbing.
All proceeds from the auction go to a Cashville, Ten-A-Key strip club.
2. Blood In the Water. Sensing that his arch nemesis is in a weakened position, Game went on the attack against Curtis and crew. With help from his Black Wall Street cronies, the former G-Unit member dropped the aptly timed diss record "Our Turn." [Listen here]
Game even went as far as to offer Young Buck a spot in his crew. LOL! Now wouldn't that be something if those two were to join forces. Honestly it would be interesting to see how many records Game and Buck could sell if they did a G-Unot album.
Would you buy a G-Unot album from Game and Young Buck?
3. Dangerous Mind. Imprisoned rapper Prodigy has taken up a keen interest in black street literature as a mode to pass the time during his 3-½ year stint in prison. In his most recent blog post at Vibe, Capital P says he has read books from Donald Goines - Never Die Alone, Eldorado Red - and popular street lit author Nikki Turner.
So enthused by the power of reading, P is convinced he's on track to become a revolutionary figure greater than Malcolm X and has felt the need to get preachy on the subjects of race and religion.
"People must have thought I was just talking when I said 3 years will only turn me into a Malcolm X, but way more dangerous," he wrote. "Let me explain something to you all, for starters I can read most of ya minds. Yes I can. Right now a lot of you are saying as you read this blog, 'This stupid little rapper thinks he can compare himself with Malcolm X, because he is reading some silly ghetto novels while doing a little bit of jail time.'"
Damn, busted! How'd he do that? He really can read my mind. Hmm, I wonder if he knows that I'm thinking he should shut the f*ck up. Not for nothing, it's cool that you're promoting reading and all that, but ease up all that revolutionary solider sh*t, dun; we good out here, yo. We got mad ignorant rap beef poppin' off; Rappers getting sent to jail for shooting their friends. And here you come with all this smarty jail n*gga talk. Save all that intelligent thug bullsh*t for them cats you're locked up with. We don't need to hear all that.
Naw! I'm just playing kids. Listen to Prodigy; he's onto to something here. After all reading is fundamental. Matter of fact we should all send P some suggestions on books to read. My choice is Faces At The Bottom Of The Well by Derrick Bell. Great read!
4. Juvenile Thinking. So it's been reported that Lil' Wayne's highly anticipated Carter III album has been pushed back yet again. However the cover of the album has leaked on the net and the visuals are quite unsettling. [Peep here]
Okay, so Weezy F. Baby decided to play on Nas' Illmatic baby picture concept, but threw in a sadistic twist to it by adding his current facial tattoos to the profile. Here's my fear with this cover. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for creative expression, but I'm like Prodigy, I too can read people's minds. And I know that there is some sick twisted person out there, (most likely living in the South) that's going to be inspired to put tattoos on their child's face or body.
Hopefully, I'm wrong on that. BTW, does anyone think Tha Carter III is going to flop?
5. Dogged Out. We all know that racist newsman Bill O'Reilly is no friend of hip-hop. So, when the Fox News personality recently went after rapper Snoop Dogg, calling him a "pinhead" we weren't surprised. However, it was his reason for going after Snoop that surprised us. O'Reilly took Snoop to task for making some painfully uninformed statements about presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama. [Watch here]
Here's a longer version of what Snoop reportedly had to say about Obama.
"The KKK gave Obama money," Snoop said. "They was one of his biggest supporters ... Why wouldn't they be? The media won't tell you that. They don't want you to know that. They just want you to know that this n*gga befriended this other n*gga who be threatening your values. But we all know all presidents lie to get into f*cking office. That's they job."
Damn Dogg! You trippin. Say something dumb like that again, we are going to have to send your as up north with Prodigy. You need some of that jail knowledge. Ayo, Prodigy school this fool, yo!
Aurevoir sal cons! Fucque forever!
