An Arizona judge has reportedly denied incarcerated rapper DMX the opportunity to leave jail to attend Dr. Drew Pinsky's "Celebrity Rehab."

According to reports, the rapper is already enrolled in a rehab program within the jail.

According to a rep for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona, the judge rejected the rapper’s petition for one reason — he’s already doing really well in the Arizona court-appointed substance abuse program, which ends early in July. After that, the judge says, DMX can pursue treatment at Dr. Drew’s facility — but by then, taping will already have begun for “Celeb Rehab” and X will have missed his chance. (Hip Hop Wired)

Last March, X was placed behind bars for a parole violation.

DMX was just sentenced to six months in jail for violating his probation — but rehab could save him from doing hard time. DMX admitted to five separate probation violations — the result of using illegal drugs. During the hearing, a rep from the Pasadena Recovery Center gave the judge a letter from Dr. Drew Pinsky, asking permission to treat X at his facility … in lieu of jail. The judge seemed open to sending X to the PRC. (TMZ)

The rapper’s manager, Nakia Walker, had previously spoken on her client’s situation.

“Of course it is unfortunate and painful to see Earl incarcerated, as there are a lot of rumors and lies surfacing regarding the details of his personal and professional state,” Walker said in an interview. “However, thank God for a great team–family, friends, pastors and doctors. Collectively, I am excited to say that X’s team is putting forth every effort to ensure the success of Earl’s health and career. We appreciate the support of his fans. Please stay prayerful, as X will return.” (XXL Mag)

While in jail, X recently filed a $1 million lawsuit against an entertainment company over unpaid royalties.

The troubled Westchester rapper filed suit Monday against Rich Kid Entertainment, charging that the entertainment company pocketed 100% of the funds from a contract signed a decade ago that was only supposed to provide a 10% cut. “DMX has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and has had No. 1 singles and albums on the Billboard charts, which in turn have generated a great amount of revenue for Defendants, but has left [DMX] with nothing,” the suit says. The suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, says DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, didn’t even become aware of the “fraudulent acts” until last year – because he had bigger problems. “From 2000 through 2008, Simmons was in and out of jail and changed representatives numerous times,” the suit says.
