Former video vixen Amber Rose recently discussed ex-boyfriend Kanye West's publicized "Way Too Cold (Theraflu)" record, specifically his targeting of her and fiance, rapper Wiz Khalifa.
While she admits too much time has elapsed for her to understand Yeezy these days, Rose said she does not feel there was any bad blood spilled from the track.
“What did I think about the song,” Amber asked hersef, “Umm, I don’t know. I don’t really know Kanye as a person anymore. I just don’t know him, um, anymore. It’s been almost two years so at first I didn’t understand, I was like, ‘What is he trying to say,’ but I think, I took it as a positive at the end and um, I feel like it’s cool. He respects Wiz as he should and I respect his decisions. I think people fail to realize that Kanye’s just my ex-boyfriend. We weren’t married, we don’t have children together, we both moved on with our lives and you know, it seems like we’re both really happy.” (The LIFE Files)
Last month, Khalifa spoke on the record and not avoiding Ye-related questions.
“I took it as he knows I’m a good guy [on ‘Theraflu’],” Wiz told the “POV” panel. “He really was into her, so the fact that we’re two great people that are treating each other well, he’s coming down and saying, ‘Hey, hats off to you.’ That’s how I see it.” Khalifa told “RapFix Live” host Sway Calloway he doesn’t mind answering the Kanye question. “It doesn’t really bother me because it’s something that people are gonna always be interested in,” he said. “It’s something that if I try to fight it then somebody is gonna do it to try to annoy me and then what am I gonna do then? So I just accept it for what it is and keep it pushing man. I got a whole positive campaign and it’s all love.” (MTV)
Earlier the same week, the rapper gave his initial reaction to hearing Yeezy name drop him on “Way Too Cold (Theraflu).”
During an interview with renowned Funkmaster Flex on New York City’s Hot 97 radio dial Monday night (April 23), the Pittsburgh MC said he was very surprised to hear Kanye drop his name on the record. “Shocked?” Flex asked him. “Yes!” Wiz responded. “Why was it so shocking to you?” Flex shot back. “Because he said my name,” Wiz answered. “I’ve gone a long time without anybody actually saying my name out loud like that. It wasn’t a bad thing. It was just the fact that it was my name. That’s my name. it was wild, it was wild, but nothing negative. Everybody got positive from it, so it’s positive.” (XXL Mag)
With wedding bells down the road, Rose recently offered her best wishes to Ye and his rumored new girlfriend, reality star Kim Kardashian.
Kanye West may have been cheated on Amber Rose with Kim Kardashian long before this whole “Kimye” thing went public, but Amber Rose doesn’t appear to be holding a grudge. When asked about her ex dating the reality TV star on Tuesday afternoon, Amber replied, “Love is love, man.” And hours later, she tweeted this out: “Love is Love no matter how you find it. You never know how two hearts feel when they’re with each other. Judge not lest you be judged #LoveisPeace.” Amber is engaged to rapper Wiz Khalifa, the guy she began dating following her romance with Kanye. (RumorFix)
