Although he did not let loose very many details, French did reveal music has been made.

“Yeah, everything’s straight,” Montana said in an interview when asked if things were fine between him and 50. “We been making music, making music. Yeah, it’s good for hip-hop. I mean, at the end of the day, [Rick] Ross my brother. So I’m not going to play both sides of the fence, but you know where I stand at. So I’m not really, you know, we ain’t have no problem, we ain’t got no real beef, but you know where I stand at. You know what I’m saying? So let’s just keep it like that.” (Shade 45)

Back in January, Montana put an end to the 50 beef chatter and said their issues were not as serious as people thought.

“I try to keep it entertaining,” Montana said, referring to the dispute. “Me and him don’t got no real problems. I guess I had said something in an interview he read and you know he probably just be looking for anything, he read it, sent the tweet out and I sent the tweet back but ain’t no problem with him. 50 is 50. Yeah, [laughs], you know, jean shorts with the knee caps showing. [Did he really wear jean shorts?] Man, there’s probably a couple of photos out there on the Internet, I seent it. Yeah, ain’t no beef, man. You know I’ve been doing good. I had a great year, I want to keep going. That man already did his thing, I feel like it’s my turn now. That’s all it is. Yeah, I don’t want to go back and forth with him, he already did his thing now it’s my turn, let me eat.” (“The Angie Martinez Show”)

The dispute even caught attention from fellow hip-hop stars like Game.

“I’m so far removed from that beef with him that I had to pretty much laugh at it,” Game said, referring to Fif’s diss to him and Young Buck on “My Life.” “I’m a big fan of Eminem so I like what he did. Adam [Levine] is my dude. I helped clear that record for 50. Me and Adam got the same management, so people had to come see me and play the record. So I heard me get dissed before people heard it. … I seen him and French Montana going at it about a week ago on Twitter. French was making fun of him and doing the same things that I was doing. But at the end of the day, it’s healthy for the game. I love it, it keeps me laughing at the crib.” (Skee TV)

In late November, Fif likened Montana to his jailed rap foe Ja Rule.

“He runs his mouth prematurely, he’s not ready to compete on any level with me,” Fif said in an interview. “When I drop a record and it becomes the number one selling record in twelve hours, after you saying that, I think you should be quiet a little bit. You should hear the crickets now. So moving forward, I’ll put him completely out of business. I’ll put him out of business off the block, the corner — he only had one song and you didn’t even care about it because it was him, it had four other people on it. You don’t got to pick a side — my run itself will pick a side. That’s your new Ja Rule right now. He’s going to be your new Ja Rule.” (Peter Parker)
