Less than 24 hours after they shocked the world by reuniting at Hot 97's Summer Jam, 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew have released their first track together in years.
The Unit and 50 protégé Kidd Kidd‘s new “Nah, I’m Talkin ‘Bout” has premiered online.
Da Unit is back. A day after reuniting onstage at Summer Jam, all four members of G-Unit come together on their first song in six years. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo put aside their differences and get back to business on “Nah I’m Talking ‘Bout,” a remix to Hit-Boy and HS87’s “Grindin’ My Whole Life,” which also features Kidd Kidd. Fif’s one-time rap rival Nas brought out the G-Unit head before the full-fledged reunion went down on Sunday (June 1).
Of all the Summer Jam 2014 surprises thus far, this one is the most monumental. After being brought onto the stage by Nas himself, 50 Cent orchestrated the reunion many people didn’t think would ever happen. Fif was joinded at this year’s show by Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck for a G-Unit reunion. (VIBE)
After performing a few solo tracks, Fif’s crew rapped to some of their early hits.
The G-Unit CEO emerged to “Hate Me Now,” all smiles, clearly basking in the moment, as he ran through hits like “I Get Money,” “What Up Gangsta” and early mixtape cuts. What happened next, however, was truly unexpected (especially considering G-Unit’s very recent public disagreements), but 50 actually managed to get Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck on stage for their first joint performance since 2008, hitting tracks like “On Fire,” “So Seductive” and “I Smell P—.” (MTV)
Fif also posted a reunion photo alongside his Unit family.
“Things go the way I say they go.now I think it’s time we get busy. #smsaudio #animalambitionFollowing,” Fif captioned June 2. (50 Cent’s Instagram)
