Hours after the scary news started circulating, Weezy hopped onto his Twitter page to calm everyone down.

“I’m fine. Thank u,” Wayne tweeted May 1st. (Lil Wayne’s Twitter)

Despite the scare, Wayne only spent a few hours in a Los Angeles hospital where he received treatment.

Lil Wayne was hospitalized again for a seizure … TMZ has learned. Sources close to Wayne tell us … the rapper was taken to Cedars-Sinai in L.A. late Tuesday night by his bodyguards. We’re told he suffered a single seizure and was treated and released early this morning. As we first reported, 30-year-old Lil Wayne spent a week at Cedars back in March after suffering multiple severe seizures that nearly killed him. He spent 6 days in ICU. Wayne subsequently went on the radio and explained he’s an epileptic, and has been suffering from seizures since he was a kid. (TMZ)

A few weeks ago, Weezy F. Baby came clean on his frequent medical complications.

“The thing is, man, the bad news is, I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” he said. “This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures; y’all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I had three of ’em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. Basically, I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That’s typical me, though.” (Power 106)

Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross recently spoke on Wayne’s health in light of experiencing multiple seizures himself.

“Yeah, [Lil Wayne], that’s the homie, I had a few words with Birdman and it’s all positive,” he said on Wayne’s status. Given his own battle with balancing work and life, Ross said it’s about prioritizing. “It’s just all about putting yourself first and we always reiterate that with each other: ‘Get rest,'” he said. “Sometimes, your desire can overwhelm the things you know that are right for you.” He also said that he has spoken to the Young Money leader directly. “We touched basis and I send my love and it’s all good. The homie feeling much, much better.’ (VIBE)

In March, Wayne released a video announcement to fans letting them know his condition after being hospitalized for nearly an entire week.

“5, 4, 3, 2, what’s poppin’ y’all? Tunechi’s in this b*tch,” Wayne said in a video directed by DJ Scoob Doo and dated March 20th. “I just want to say thank-you to all y’all for your prayers and your concerns and all that. I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that motherf*cking hospital bed. But I want all y’all to know that I’m good, a n*gga more than good. Also, my bum a** album’s still coming out March 26th, it’s the 26th? March 26th. I Am Not A Human Being II — I’m still going on tour, America’s Most Wanted Tour, with some of my closest friends in the game, speaking of my closest friends in the game, I got my n*gga right here to elaborate on that subject.” (TMZ)
