R&B singer Monica is ready to expand her family tree, confirming rumors and speculation suggesting she is pregnant with her third child and first with NBA star Shannon Brown.
Both Monica and Brown hopped onto Twitter over the weekend to end the speculation once and for all.
R&B veteran Monica is celebrating Mother’s Day with big news. According to the “New Life” singer, a new baby is on the way! Monica broke the news via social media Saturday night, showing off her baby bump just before an event in Chattanooga, TN. She also confirmed that she is five months along. “5 months & counting LOL. #Excited,” Monica shared on Twitter. Monica’s husband and athlete, Shannon Brown, also shared the news with his fans, calling the pregnancy a blessing. “Hallelujah!!! Thank God!!! Thank you Jesus!!! I’m so Blessed!!!,” wrote Brown. This will be Monica and Shannon’s first child together. (Singersroom)
Her oldest son is seven-years-old and stems from a past relationship with hip-hop artist Rocko.
While there were more than enough signs that she was pregnant, it wasn’t enough to seal the deal… until now, of course. This will be the “Love All Over Me” singer’s third child in addition to her adorable 5-year-old Romelo and spunky 7-year-old Lil Rocko. Shannon also has a son from a previous relationship, but both celebs are excited to be expecting their first child together. (Popular Critic)
Although the 32-year-old has yet to spill out any more details, rumors suggest their baby could arrive this September.
Anonymous sources claim that the baby is due in September but that the gender of the child has not been announced. With Monica revealing her own baby bump it’s obvious that this year is certainly the year of the babies! In addition to Monica, actress Halle Berry is also sporting her second baby bump as well as Jessica Simpson, pregnant reality star Kim Kardashian, and of course we are even expecting a royal baby soon from Kate Middleton. Last month, Rocko talked about his brief relationship with the R&B singer and wished her nothing but the best with Brown.
