The unexpected banger premiered online early Thursday (January 2).

I guess Rick Ross was right when he said he was playing no games. Today the wordsmith is back, linking up with the up and coming wordsmith Whole Slab for a remix to the infectious track “I Know”. Mr. Rozay takes to the track nicely, showing off his polished style and lavish lifestyle while effortlessly floating on the addictive old school feeling instrumental. Ricky speaks about his ways in the streets, his lavish life, and much more, doing so effortlessly and flawlessly. (Stupid Dope)

Yesterday, Ricky Rozay’s New Year’s Day-themed “Bound 2” freestyle surfaced online and showcased him acknowledging Khloe’s recent divorce from NBA free agent Lamar Odom.

Storage wars, all the whores, I walk away /Chad and Evelyn evidence, just a block away /Do the b*tches love you when you out the league? /Will my car still crank when I hit the keys? /When did dark skinned brothers learn to ski? /Got a thing for Khloe, Lamar lost his feet /Scott Dis’nick, Taylor check me in a week /Black bottle boy, n*gga blazin’ peach /Such an amazin’ piece, such an amazin’ speech /This is easy to me” (“Bound 2” Freestyle)

While he would not tackle down a solid date, the “Bawse” recently promised his Mastermind solo offering would arrive in the next few months.

“It’s coming soon. Top of the year. Yeah. I still got to put a few details into it. I got to. Everybody will thank me later. [Guest features?] Bobby Womack. I collaborated with the legendary Bobby Womack. I got in the studio with a few people, man, just to do a lot of different things and it’s gonna be some dope sh*t.” (Rap-Up)

Ross recently raised eyebrows after revealing his LP would not make its scheduled release this month.

Rick Ross’ ‘Mastermind’ album was initially set to drop this year on Dec. 17, but the Bawse shares that he’s pushing the album back to a date that hasn’t been revealed. During an interview with DJ Scream on SiriusXM’s ‘Hip-Hop Nation,’ the rapper tells DJ Scream why he chose to delay the project. “I’m still putting the final touches on the album,” he shares. “You know me, making that classic is more important than anything. Making sure the streets are overwhelmed with what I am doing is what is most important. I’m gonna try to get it to you, and if I don’t, I’ll get it to you ASAP.” Ross released the song ‘No Games’ as the lead-in for the project, which serves as the follow-up to 2012?s ‘ God Forgives, I Don’t.’ (The Boom Box)
