New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap continues to keep his “Trap Queen” song buzzing throughout the nation by performing the anthem on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last night (May 5).
Fetty invaded the late night talk show stage and treated fans to the track Tuesday.
Hours after dropping the official “My Way” remix featuring Drake, Fetty Wap stopped by the Tonight Show to perform another ubiquitous single, “Trap Queen.” Accompanied by house band the Roots, the 24-year-old New Jersey rapper bounced and grinned his way through the set, which ended with a hearty handshake from a very enthusiastic Jimmy Fallon. Hours prior to the performance, Young Money rapper Drake‘s remix of Fetty’s “My Way” song premiered online.
In the past couple years, Drake has co-signed new artists by dropping guest verses on their songs. (Notable examples: iLoveMakonnen and Migos.) Now, he’s given his latest stamp of approval. The official remix of Fetty Wap’s “My Way” features a Drake verse. (Pitchfork)
