While networking plays a key role in SXSW, Camp noted his excitement over taking center stage at this week’s music festival.

“The biggest thing I’m excited about this year at South By Southwest is that I’m hitting these stages,” Camp revealed to SOHH. “Last year I was just watching. This year I’m on all of these little main stages and in the line-ups with all of the big dogs in the game. That’s just a blessing and the fact I get to see the people who really f*ck with me. The fans are really f*cking with my campaign.” (SOHH)

Known for his club scene presence, KC embraced the idea of hitting the masses in Austin, Texas.

“I’m a part of the venues and the clubs,” Camp added. “It’s going to be a little different but we’re still going to tear that sh*t up. You’re going to have to see it for yourself when we get there. We gotta see what it’ll look like. It’s going to be fun regardless.” (SOHH)

Buzz behind Camp landing a new deal with Interscope Records bubbled online this week.

Mr. “Money Baby” himself proudly posted on his social networking handles that he had just inked a deal with the house that Jimmy Iovine built saying, “Just signed my deal w Interscope Records; Takeover Time; #InDueTime,” while leaning back in an executive office suite in the accompanying photo. The latter portion of the blurb was a direct reference to the “In Due Time” tour K Camp is currently on. His self-made movement has recently seen the 23-year-old collaborating with the likes of Nipsey Hussle, French Montana and Ty Dolla $ign, so it wasn’t just the suits who were recognizing what was truly taking place in the streets. This week, Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boo talked to SOHH about what she looked forward to about SXSW.

“Honestly, the fans are what draw me out to South by Southwest every year. I like mingling with a lot of the independent artists and catching their shows. Sometimes at South By Southwest, they have the surprise performers especially at spots like The FADER and Converse stages. One time I performed there and was a surprise performer and Usher was a surprise performer. It was just dope. You never know who you’re going to see at South By Southwest. (SOHH)
