Young Money's Tyga is making sure 2014 turns into a memorable one after hooking up with Kanye West recently and now throwing down over $2 million on a limited edition luxury vehicle.
According to reports, Tyga joins an elite class which includes Jay Z and Cash Money boss Birdman to own a 2014 convertible Maybach 62 S Landaulet.
Tyga just bought a sweet ride as a birthday present to himself … it’s got four doors and four wheels — hey, just like a Toyota Camry — but Tyga’s whip cost around $2.2 million. Sources close to Tyga tell us he dropped 2 large bills plus on a 2014 convertible Maybach 62 S Landaulet — the car itself cost $1.3 mil. Now get this … he spent nearly a mil tricking it out. West Coast Customs hooked it up with all kinds of extras, including a 40 inch TV. Here’s the thing … for $2.2 mil where the hell are the cup holders? Ty joins an elite group of 62 S owners — including Jay Z and Bird Man. We’re told he plans to showcase the car in a new video he’s shooting with Mally Mall, “Wake Up In It.” (TMZ)
The whip news comes days after Tyga and Kanye locked in some studio time together.
Are you ready for a T-Raww and Yeezus collaboration? Fresh off the release of his mixtape Well Done 4, Tyga hit the studio with none other than Kanye West. The Cash Money rapper took to Instagram to share a photo of him working with the G.O.O.D. Music mastermind. “Raww x Yeezus,” tweeted Tyga. Details of their collaboration are scarce, but Tyga is readying his new album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, which has already spawned the Justin Bieber-assisted single “Wait for a Minute.” (Rap-Up)

Tyga released his sophomore album Hotel California in April this year but he’s already recording his next one, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. The YMCMB rapper’s third album is due in stores in Spring of 2014 and yesterday, he stopped by Power 106 to premiere the first single ‘Wait for A Minute’ featuring Justin Bieber (listen here). He also told this to the radio station: “It’s gonna be more kinda how like Careless World, my first album, was… It’s way less commercial. I felt like Hotel California was more commercial and I made more radio-type records. This album is straight rap.” (HHNM)
Outside of music, Tyga recently spoke on his relationship with girlfriend Blac Chyna.
“I met her at the strip club,” Tyga added, when asked how he hooked up with Chyna. “When I first met her, it was hard to see her. I was on the road — I think we had a party over there at [King of Diamonds strip club] and she gave me her number.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
