Grammy-winning singer Lady Gaga‘s love for hip-hop goes further than just Chief Keef as reports suggest she is teaming up wtih Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross for a new collaboration.
If things go accordingly, Gaga and Ross will link for a remix to “Do What U Want.”
Mother Monster and MMG are joining forces. Following her collaboration with T.I., Too $hort, and Twista, Lady Gaga has enlisted Rick Ross for the remix to her R. Kelly-assisted single “Do What U Want.” She made the announcement on Twitter, writing, “Do What U Want the Remix feat. RICK ROSS. It’s happening.” The original song, which appears on her chart-topping album ARTPOP, is currently No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. (Rap-Up)
Gaga and R&B veteran R. Kelly performed “Do What U Want” at this month’s American Music Awards ceremony.
During the hands-down most elaborate performance at the 2013 American Music Awards, Lady Gaga and R. Kelly fashioned themselves a salacious secretary and President Kellz while playing their new hit “Do What U Want” in a faux Oval Office. After pantomiming a phone call in which Gaga asked “President Kelly” what he wanted for lunch (“Girl, you been working for me for six long years, you know what I want!” quoth Robert Sylvester), an elaborate dance sequence inside the President’s chambers kicked off, with Kelly gazing on with piqued interest while resisting the urge to partake in any choreography. During the first half of the performance, Gaga nuzzled against the R&B icon’s ear and slid between his legs while belting her half of the duet. (Billboard)
Back in mid-October, the song’s teaser made its way across the Internet.
Lady Gaga and R. Kelly just want you to do whatever you want. The Mother Monster is giving fans a preview of her ARTPOP duet, “Do What U Want,” with Kells, in a new ad for Beat by Dre. On the snippet of the song, Gaga and R. Kelly trade lines over a funky, up-tempo beat. “Do What U Want/ Don’t Stop/ Let’s party,” Gaga sings. “Do what u want/ What u want with my body/ Do what u want/ What u want with my body/ Write what you want, say what you want about me/ If you want you know that I’m not sorry.” (MTV)
